For the piece, Solace, Belmore will use a pre-existing ice hut with new windows. On the snow-covered floor of the hut is placed the work "ember", it is fitted with solar powered lights so that it flickers like a smoldering fire. The window is stained glass with an abstract image of flames on a predominantly frosted background.
